The difference between coating grade cpvc resin powder and pipe grade cpvc resin powder
CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) resin powder can be divided into coating grade and pipe grade according to its application. Although both resins are CPVC materials, there are some differences in performance, processing methods and final use:
1. **Chlorine content**: Generally speaking, CPVC resin powder used for pipes contains higher chlorine content than coating grade CPVC resin powder. This is mainly because higher chlorine content can improve the material's heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, which is very important for pipe applications that need to withstand higher temperatures and pressures.
2. **Mechanical properties**: Pipe grade CPVC resin powder generally has better mechanical properties, such as higher tensile strength and flexural modulus, which are essential for manufacturing durable piping systems.
3. **Processing performance**: Coating grade CPVC resin powder may focus more on compatibility with other coating ingredients and film formation performance, such as drying speed, adhesion, etc. Pipe grade CPVC resin powder focuses more on molding processing performance, such as fluidity and yield rate during injection molding or extrusion molding.
